SHE KISSED A STRANGER ON A PLANE

By Carolynn Zorn

She kissed a stranger on a plane.

What was she hopping to attain?

With the smile, the touch, the roving hand,

A tryst, a lover, a one night stand?

She gave him her card to carry home,

On it her address and also her phone.

So strong was her attraction to this man,

That in only four hours the magic began.

And it continued as they sadly parted ways

Then obsessed her thoughts for days and days.

What caused this flame to even ignite?

The pressurized cabin or the vodka that night?

She asked the universe why he didn’t call,

Didn’t he find her attractive at all?

Then one day the earth sorta shifted,

And then her spirits were magically lifted.

Because he phoned, then called every night,

She was convinced this attraction was right.

He entered her life and then her heart.

Her epic adventures were about to start.

Maybe their destiny was preordained

Back in Detroit the night they deplaned.
